Hahahahaha. I can't damage their gear at all.
Female gets front seat for sure, good ones I'll even open the door for
Yes I certainly like to drive!

R is back on the road. 100 bucks for repairs to rim. 40 bucks for new lock nuts (M14x1.5 incase anyone is wondering, glad I checked , I thought they were 1.25), 540 bucks for 2 Toyo Proxes4 225/40/18.
Now I can claim on the RTA's insurance for that (need description, photos, repair receipts, copy of your registration etc)

Now the car is mobile again I can go out for tea tonight, should be good.

Have next week off so may try and find 2 more proxes4 to go on the rear, and go get some quotes for the paint damage and start sorting that out as well.

Plus WTAC fri/sat....very excited for this!!

    Cheers for the support guys

wait, u mean females get the back seat dont u? i dont know about up newcastle way but in syd only mk5/6 and audi drivers sit in the back while their female companion sits in the front lol ...u dont wanna leave ur girl in the front with a sleazy cabbie chatting her up and looking at her legs while ur in the back and cant hear what theyre saying do u? blokes r supposed to sit up the front and have a yarn with the cabbie.

anyhoo what about some pics of the paint damage? just curious.

..and did the RTA say their insurance is going to pay for the pothole damage? i thought they only have to pay up if they knew about the pothole and neglected to fix it or something. bloody expensive if they dont pay up.

    Ok so update time.

    RE: traffic incident.
NRMA (I don't think) opened up the event number I have from police (costs $48 bucks) because on that visit they told me I would be paying the excess, car gets repaired, then they chase it out of the other party.
I went back to the police chasing proper details and basically it wasn't recorded as an MVA, just an incident. And because I said "look they are young and stupid, I don't care about getting them charged and nailed, just want to fix the car. I've done dumb things before and at least they know not to do it again". They weren't charged so there is no formal number for the incident so need to go back and explain how the police categorised it in the system. Saturday morning job.

My choice of repairer is reputable around here so happy it going there when sorted. Might be easier just paying cash and sucking it up because it's probably less than my excess anyway lol. Also got quotd 400 for front bar respray + holder delete so pretty happy about that. When the time comes...

RE: damaged Aristo repaired and 2 new tyres (Proxes4). Information was provided to the RTA. They describe the process as taking 4-6 weeks to investigate :S so waiting on that one. Cost me about 650 bucks in total.

Have a whining rear diff on decel. Changed the diff oil last week which quitened it down a bit but it's coming back so looks like it'll come out for a looking at. Clutch is still ****ed but G/B won't break and neither will a shaft so just put up with it and then go shopping again :/
Carbon cannister fitting has broken too, checked GAP and couldn't find it. $260 from VW for anyone who is curious. So small vacuum leak atm. Still can get low 9's/100km off the MFD though.

Just ordered 400 bucks worth of gear from ECS

    -Oil Filter
    -Fuel filter
-Oil filter socket 1/2" drive, 36mm
    -Fuel Line Pliers
    -NGK Spark plugs
-Haldex Service Kit with filter tool
    -Extended Spark Plug socket
    -Umbrella

    Working on it!
Sorry for all the text guys...ah well, you'll live.

Hi Mal, Sounds like you have a lot going on!

Let me know how you go with the diff, I am interested in case I have any problems later on.

I picked up some s/hand Aristos for my car which have replaced the white ones, car looks heaps better! Bought some new Conti Sport 2's also, it actually goes around corners again and the traction control light doesn't blink all the time anymore

I had APR do a reflash as it was surging down low and didn't seem to go as well as it should. What a difference, now it is strong and really smooth like it used to be.

Still have lots to do but having heaps of fun sorting it out.

Hope it all gets fixed and is back on the road 100% soon man xD

Just a question, for the Service kit

    Is this the one?
    Volkswagen R32 MKIV 3.2 > Maintenance > Driveline > ES#7998 ECS Haldex Service Kit With Tool - 02D598558

Would that be what I'd order for my Bora?

I'm not sure whether the Haldex has been serviced before and I'm coming up to 85,000k's so : /
