Let me know how you go with the diff, I am interested in case I have any problems later on.

I picked up some s/hand Aristos for my car which have replaced the white ones, car looks heaps better! Bought some new Conti Sport 2's also, it actually goes around corners again and the traction control light doesn't blink all the time anymore

I had APR do a reflash as it was surging down low and didn't seem to go as well as it should. What a difference, now it is strong and really smooth like it used to be.

Still have lots to do but having heaps of fun sorting it out.

    doin some changes there Dave.....

    Heya David,

Yeah plenty going on at the moment. R32 is just part of it.
Will definitely post up what happens with the diff when that happens.
How are those pipes going? Much better?

My ESP still flashes with Proxes4, the CSC2's must be a fair bit grippier again haha. Good to hear you are happy with the look again

They are definitely a lot of work, as you say, good fun. You should put up a thread with your story

Hi John.... yes it now has new wheels (genuine), new standard exhaust and a reflash. I have booked it in to get the front suspension rebuilt, control arm bushes, ball joints, tie rod ends, upper strut mounts etc... should be like new again when done. I also have a new gearshift, front grills x 3, R32 badge for the front, antenna and some other stuff on the way from Germany. I have also ordered some of the worn trim bits inside and will replace them. It will probably cost me 5-6K to get it to where I am happy with it, but I am not selling it again so its a good investment.

Also I am getting the steering wheel recovered in black alcantara which should give it a nice lift.

Hope your project is going well too!

I had Proxes T1 R's on this car many years ago and didn't like them.

What did you pay for them?

I got the Conti 2's for a steal, $900 including fitting for 4

The exhaust is great, I don't have that sub woofer type drone at 2500rpm anymore. It still is really loud and crackles and farts when you back off.

These are a lot better than the KU31's that were on it when I bought it.

Paid 260 each for the first 2 and 170 each for the second pair. Got the second pair same day I met up with you.

You don't know loud on R32 till you hear mine lol. Quiet when you need it to be, animal when you want it to be
Glad you are happy with it mate!

All my gear arrived from ECS.
Umbrella arrived in good nick as well lol.
Gotta get round and put it all in, clean the K&N pod etc.

Booked a holiday to Fiji yesterday, so when I come back will hopefully start playing with this thing again. As long as nothing else goes wrong with it for a while.

Bled the clutch today and driving seems a bit better but still wants to "permanently engage" in 1st or reverse intermittently. Take off and between shifts seemed a little smoother which is a positive.

H&R springs arrived from Justin on tuesday.
Rears are in, fronts are 50% done. Just waiting on spring compressors (if I was fatter I could push the hub down more and pop the spring out the top, but im not so I need to compress the spring) so all should be done around 6 o clock.

Fronts were a lot more difficult but overall not too bad. Ended up pulling the struts out completely. Meant to lower an inch all round, I believe that in the back, the fronts seem like a hell of a lot more though.

Reason for the springs was to isolate a knocking problem, seems I still have it but it sounds quieter, so may have to do with the front spring hardware (mount, bearing and perch plate). Will look at changing these later.

Car feels a lot more composed, will get wheel alignment tomorrow and thats one task out of the way
