Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
It's gotta get better again soon surely!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:(
And the result of the egging/guard damage was that the police couldn't give me the details of the car and owner because they were under 18 (fair enough) and to wait until everything is closed down.
Gave the police a call today and apparently I can just use the event number I have, so turns out I could have been organising my repairs 2 weeks ago....ah well.
Tomorrow can't be the same :)
so both cars?!
Clutch, bingle, wheel.
Haven't mentioned power steering leak, broken carbon cannister fitting (probably need to buy the whole lot lol) and binding front springs (no idea why they would do this but another thing to sort).
It's beating me at the moment :(
I bought the car because I needed better range, more comfortability, more reliability (newer), more fun and something I'd be happy to work for (still got a loan). I wasn't going to spend money on something I wasn't going to be happy putting any more time/effort/money towards. A MkV R32 would have been easier to get, and cheaper overall (especially considering how this is all adding up!) but it jsut wasn't what I wanted (even though it's a "better" car) and this is the joys of it.
I guess I'm stretching myself to try and do everything right, but lessons learned and I have other things taking part in spending my monies.
Just saying, I'm working bloody hard to try and keep it all together, not do things by halves and get the right gear for it (so to speak).
Put the R32 space saver I got with the car on the VR6 so I could use the TT wheel on the R32 to clear the front brakes (the SS does not). Had to swap the R32 space saver with the VR6 one (was just trying to not make it sag so much in one corner by using the 18" not the 15" in the first place).
What made it even more ****ful is I've misplaced my lock nut key, went to VW to match against their master keys but we determined it must be aftermarket because none of them fit. So I had to think of a way to get the studs off. Best idea I had come up with was weld a 16mm nut onto the stud and use a 20mm socket to crack them off. But that risks heating the rim and changing the structure of the grains in the metal. Bit risky...
Ended up flogging the **** out of an 18mm socket over the stud and crackign that way with a small sledge haha. Bit violent but gotta do what you gotta do right.
VR is back in action and all good now.
so u may not want my opinion but here goes:
u made the right choice with the mk4 ...mk5 (and especially mk6) r for the kind of blokes that ride in the backseat of a taxi. ur not one of those r u, reaching for the back door even if means a female companion has to ride in the front?
...as for the egging its a pity u even called the cops but anyway u can still torch the ****box if u come across it parked in a driveway or something, theyve probably got enough enemies ..just break the smallest(quietest) window and drop in a zippo, itll be gone before they even hear the snap crackle and pop of the fire ...and dont call ur dad lol
anyhoo tough times dont last, tough people do. :2ar15smilie:
