cruise control not working

hi all,

after removing my clutch pedal last week for repaires i seem to have lost my cruise control.
the on/off button works,, and everything else on the stalk works. Just the end button which sets and slows the speed.

Because the brake pedal acts as the cancel function, im guessing we bumped something on it.
I had a quick look but cant see anything lose or broken. Any ideas on where there cruise is linked to the pedal? Or could there be somethin else wrong?

Car is a early 01 2lt manual bora if that makes any difference

The clutch pedal switch also cancels the cruise control. If it's gone plop, then your cruise control wont work.
