Could anyone recommend good honest VW Mechanics for me?

I live in Melbourne northen suburb, around Northcote, Thornbury, Preston area. And everyday I travel across Richmond to St Kilda to work. And my Bora V5 starts to have problems such as Coolant leaks and Coil Failure, etc.

Just wondering if there is any good and honest VW mechanics along my commute route, since I can't ask for leave for to long, I need to take the car to mechanics on my way to work, and take the car back on my way home.

And the South Yarra VW dealer in Richmond charges a lot.

Could anyone help rescue my Bora and my wallet?

My Bora's getting serviced and Stage 2 refresh kit installed today at Volkspower in Burwood for the first time. I can report back here if you'd like.

If you wouldn't mind markc, I'd be interested as well. After using the family mechanic for years I'm a bit apprehensive about moving to a VW specialist, but it is just too close to work.

These guys have a great reputation. I can vouch for their helpfulness too (they helped get a replacement rear windscreen for an R32 at short notice).
    Nothing to see here...

Right so yesterday evening I picked my car up from them (used their Mk3 golf loan car).

I had asked them to check the engine problem (running only 5 cyclinders as detailed in my other thread) and to do a service and install the refresh kit. Rick called me at 2pm and said that they weren't going to have the time to get the refresh kit installed and that they'll have to book in another time to do it. I was happy that they let me know early.

Rocked up at 5:15pm and had a chat to Rick. He said that they still couldn't find what's causing cylinder 4 not to run, they've changed the MAF sensor, coils, done a compression test and it's fine. So they've deduced that the problem not mechanical, but electrical. The mechanic came up and had a chat with me as well, which was really good. He explained what they did and the possible problems. So I'm booked in again for next Friday where they'll try and sort it out and install the suspension as well.

All in all, pretty happy with the service, even though they weren't able to get everything I was hoping done. Will definitely make them my local.

Thank you very much, markc, I'll try them next time.
