Converted my MK4 GTI into MK5 (Mighty Mods)

OK so this has been a long time coming. Some of you may remember my post about my wife stealing my MK5 GTI. Well I thought the easiest solution was to modify her MK4 in style of the MK5... all in 8 hours.

I'd like to thank watercooled for being a fantastic comuunity of really great helpful people. Some other forums I'm a member on are not nearly as friendly.

Thanks to sierra055 from this forum for info on bumper removal. (check for your name in the credits dude

I really hope you like this special super episode inspired by VWWATERCOOLED and made especially for VW fans.

We're aiming to get a show up on Foxtel and they are keen but want to see regular views first. We're over 250,000 downloads now from youtube and itunes now so if any of you could post this into any other forums that you are members of, that'd be fantastic. If someone could get it on vortex I'd really appreciate it.

Let me know what you think!

Haha rad. It reminded me of the 10,000 times I have had the bumper of my golf(s).

Really hope you get a show. We all know it will be better than Top Gear Australia

great vid, there stuff is pretty informative.

But honestly, that mk5 look tail lights and head lights are damn ugly.
Not to mention the dumbest thing ever to do on an mk4 is putting a venting blow off valve on. thats like a big no no.

I like the idea of the exhaust. However that would not be legal in NZ, as the exhaust is easily modifiable. The new Rep Rs4 wheels dont even do it for the car. Heck an i have first Gen Rs4 wheels on my car and i hate them. lol

I don't mind what they've done - each to their own I guess!

Regardless of whether you do or don't like the individual components selected, the episode does give information on the general upgrades - wheels, exhaust, headlights, taillights, BOV, etc. that can be done to a car.
    Nothing to see here...
