Connecting Fog Lights to High Beam

Ok so my fog lights are ridiculously bright and i have wired them up to my euro switch on the 'pull' switch, which is for the fog lights in the head lights. But as they are so damn bright i want to wire them up to my high beam as well, to actually make use of this light. I couldn't find anything useful on Vortex.

I know i need to run a power wire from the fog wire that runs into my euro switch to the power wire for the high beams, but as the switch for high beams is the stalk on the steering column, i thought running a power wire up to it might be a tad difficult. I was wondering if anyone else has done anything like this?

    Cheers, Evan.

Yer that gets abit annoying tho, a car comes along and you have to wack to switches on both sides of the steering wheel to turn off both lights

Just play with the alignment on them. Aligned properly, driving/fog lights shouldn't cause issues to anyone on a normal sedan (4WDs with them on bullbars etc is another kettle of fish).
The authorities can't seem to get this through their thick heads and would rather penalise everyone rather than the stupid car makers (yes you especially Holden) and the idiots who install them aftermarket and don't get them aligned properly.

shouldn't need to go into the steering column wiring for this one.
do you want to only operate the fogs when high beams are on or from either the fog light switch or high beam switch?
if you only want to operate them off the high beam then connect into the high beam lamp from the back of the headlamp assembly and loop into the fog lights. or find the relay that operates the high beam and connect into the output of this to the fogs.
the other option will be more difficult as you will need to prevent the high beams from operating off the fog light switch since you will essentially have power to the fogs from two different sources.. not an electronics wiz here but dont think diodes will handle the current of the fog lights so dont think it will be as simple as putting these in.

Legally, fog lights should be wired to work on low-beam or parking lights only.

Driving lights are meant to work only on high beam.

And, as above, you should only use them when conditions call for them - and not be a giant douche and use them all the time.

I have the exact same issue here mate! Bought some aftermarket fog lights and installed with the help of my uncle; and its honestly like having a second high beam! I mean it's good, but really don't get a chance to use then as it's too much of a hassle to click them on/off when approaching another car...So they don't really get used; they are mostly for aesthetic purposes now...

When installing them we had them wired to (i think) the ignition so that they can only run with the car on acc; what about wiring them to only run with high beam, then leaving them switched on constantly? So that they cut out when high beam is switched off. (Sorry if that's already exactly what you meant haha)
I might have a go with my uncle later this week; will post any breakthroughs!

Whats funny about my fog lights being so bright (assuming yours are the same!) is that if a cop did pull you over and was being a right ; he'd mark you for a) driving with fog lights on unnecessarily and b) using high beam inappropriately without it even being on haha
