Just called Osborne park vw, my car is eligable but they want me to come in so they can "inspect the part numbers" (thats literally what the woman said) and then order the new ones and replace them

Good you guys are getting them replaced. Its for the mk4 and mk5 R32 in the us. When I brought my letter in to the local dealer 2 plus years ago where I live and showed them the recall letter from VWOA- they would not replace mine since the letter was from VW America and then the the service manger tried to feed me some BS about the R's here came from a different assembly line so I was kind enough to school him up on some Vw history and the switched on parts guy came out to have a laugh as the so called expert got schooled up. Some people just crack me up.

so did we rule out 2.8L 4mowers? those with individual coils i mean. any news?
Or is it VIN by VIN?
MY02 Bora V6 4Mo|Matte Black plastidip|VTDA|R32 Exhaust|R32 dampers and springs|TT pedals|R32 steering wheel|17" 8L S3 rims|R32 sways|Blue Haldex|EBC reds
It is definitely on a VIN basis and only for the indivdual coilpack design.
And the instructions call for the dealer to inspect the part numbers currently fitted and they will only replace the ones listed in the bulletin that match.
Worth a query at least if you have individual coilpacks.
PM if you are looking for: R32 rear sway bar; R32 suspension springs; Euro Headlight switches
Does this apply to the 1.6SR or only the 4MO variants?
Just ring up VW dealer and get them to check your VIN.
