Hi everyone, My clutch is slipping once it hits boost, i only replaced it a year ago, I admit i didn't treat it too nice but i was wondering if there is any simple bolt on upgrade like an S3 clutch? I think i heard that you can fit a V6 4motion clutch and flywheel but risk getting vibration because it's not dual mass? Suggestions?? Oh and its a 2000 MK4 GTI.

Is it not more because of the 4wd?

Yeah simply 6speed is an 02M and the 5 speed is 02a or 02J, clutch release bearing set up is different and the clutch is different.

i fitted a ECS stage 1 (basically the same as a VR6 kit from what i understand) and 14lb flywheel yesterday...
to be honest i only drive it to work this morning as we only finished at 2am and im prety happy with it
nice pedal feel (amazing how different a new one feels compared to my original 10 year old item), and i reckon the lightended flywheel was worth it as the car spools up a bit quicker - kinda hard to explain...
losing the dual mass flywheel has meant that you do have to drive it a bit more carefully to avoid any jerking, but as i said im pretty rapt at the moment
cheers, dan
