    Clutch for Bora 4motion

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anybody has a bit of advice regarding clutches for the good ol 4motion. I'm a bit confused as to whether to order a Clutch for a R32 golf, or a clutch for a 02M VR6. From what my research has turned up am i right in saying the Gearbox in the Bora is a bit different to the R32 golf, different gearbox code?

If so would do i just find one for a VR6 02M FWD MK4 Jetta?

Also once that's sorted does anybody have any recommendations for a clutch suplier either in the U.S. or in Aust?

I'll be after something that can hold a high power level but still not be ridiculous to drive (i've done my time driving a ceramic twin plate GTR around the street, not too bad but overkill!) and was thinking along the lines of this

    SV873F Volkswagen Jetta IV 02-05 2.8L Fits:24V VR6 STAGE 3+ - 034 MOTORSPORT

    OR

    SV873 Volkswagen Jetta IV 02-05 2.8L Fits:24V VR6 STAGE 3 - 034 MOTORSPORT

    Or

    Volkswagen Jetta IV VR6 24v > Drivetrain > Clutch > Stage 3 > ES#2532 ECS Tuning Stage III Clutch Kit - 01M6SPDSTG3CK

    Last question (i promise)

Flywheels, any further advice of where and what to buy? Not wanting to go too light as i'd like to avoid gearbox chatter as much as possible!

    Something like this maybe?
    SV23S-2 Volkswagen Jetta IV 02-05 2.8L Fits:24V VR6 STEEL FLYWHEEL - 034 MOTORSPORT

    Any advice, thoughts or opinions?

    Thanks

    I'd like to know too.

With the towing I do I want to pre-emptivley swap out the clutch and flywheel.

I'd want to get rid of the dual mass flywheel for a solid one and just uprate the disc a bit. Nothing extreme, don't need a grabby clutch when trying to tow a tandem.

This has been discussed before, most of the answers are in here http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f14/...ney-41911.html

Yevvy converted his to a SMF and clutch.. its got a bit of chatter on idle, but other than that, he says its perfectly fine.

He's posted a thread on here somewhere.. time to search

I was looking for that thread! knew i'd seen it before but couldn't find it for the life of me.

I've found the Spec clutch kits can be had at a pretty decent price on US e-bay so shipping dependant i might look into one of those.

Cheers for the help so far guys
