    Boost Fluctuations

Recently the boost in my golf has been a bit up and down. some times when i drive it boost will sit at 15psi, then others it will hardly get to 12psi. This varies from day to day.

At first i thought it may be a boost leak, but now i am not so sure as its not down all the time. Is there a sensor i should be checking out, or somthing else.

Im at the point where im going to take all the piping off beween the turbo and the intake manifold to check for cracks.

This is really starting to annoy me. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Yeah mate check for the obvious loose clamps etc , but you may find the Air Mass Meter is having a spack. It could be tired and ready for a replacement. Best thing to do after you check the obvious is to run a data log on the engine. Also while you are there is your temp gauge behaving???? what i mean by that is your temp gauge smack on 90degress when at operating temp say after 10 mins or so??????

I would more likely point it to your BOV or sorry DV, depending on which one you are running.

If still the standard DV, replace it with a S3 DV here in NZ they only set us back around $80 so should be similarly priced for you guys over there.

I have a forge DV, but i also have a brand new 710N. Both of them have the same result. changed the maf over to a new one last night, hopefully that will make a difference, I checked a few hoses and they seem to be in order.
    More checking to come.
