So.......................... I checked out my suspension today in the rear and it was all tight with no play. About to give up I realised I'd made a noob mistake- I had put the spacer on the wrong way after I took my rear adjusters out! The chamfer of the wheel hub was sitting up against the flat part of the spacer leaving some play in the wheel (danger danger). No wonder the car handled like poo and I hated driving it.
So far it seems the wheel wasn't buckled or the wheel bolts bent/stripped but I'll get this checked properly when I get my alignment redone.
Took her for a test drive and she felt as smooth as stock. Finally got to thrash her around the industrial area and thoroughly enjoyed it.
(Usually after I jack the car up the suspension problems disappear for a while but come back after driving a few minutes.. So far this hasn't happened so I hope this was the actual problem *fingers crossed*)
