Changing rear bushes on a R32/Bora 4mo - possible to do without a press?

    Hi all,

My little Bora 4motion needs to have it's rear bushes changed. I've been told the bushes connecting the bottom trailing arm to the hub is in unroadworthy condition.

I'm wondering if anyone has changed this before and how hard was it to push out and replace?

I don't have a press at home but I've made a bush removal tool that I've used in the past. It's pretty arbitrary but it does work - looks something like this:

I've decided that I might as well replace all the bushes in the back so I'll be ordering 4x hub bushes and a 2x bushes for where the control arm meets the chassis.
If you have changed them before, where did you get the bushes from? (Do have VW part numbers just looking for a site.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Thanks!

I bought the bushes from the uk from a local store I used to use over there. I'm sure you could find something decent via eBay/ecs or similar.
I didn't need a press to get mine in, just a little grease and a g clamp to push them in and a rubber mallet if they need a little extra.
