sounds about right to me. pay to play...
Anyone know where I can get rebuild kits (seals and dustcaps basically) for the R32 brakes? VW dealerships vary from telling me they can't get them (yeah, right) to only talking to me if I can give them a VIN to giving me a price ($128 per side for the fronts, $43 for the rears).
And if you think that's expensive, trade price for the front rotors is $533!
Nothing to see here...

Yeah, I knew the rotors were expensive, but after the seal kit for my old Liberty costing me $10 per side, I didn't expect $128 per side for the R32 brakes (good as they are!).

Have you had a look at German Auto Parts or ECS? I would've thought even with the Aussie dollar the way it is that they would be cheaper than VW Australia?
Cheers,

Cost me $150 per caliper to have them rebuilt (My R32 brakes - includes pistons, seals, dustcaps, cleaning etc)
The place that did them told me they needed to go to VW for the front caliper rebuild kit, but the rears were a rediculously common part I THINK from a VW Beetle or Nissan skyline - I forget now
