good idea till it pisses down! dont want to rain on your parade!!no pun intended!! (hmm made me think which chump said that to me recently) but when it rains really hard and you have to go through some big puddles ,you might regret this mod!!!

Your pic is not working anymore. But from what iv'e worked out, you have a very low mounted CAI.

Surly it can't be any worse than mine. I have a MAF pipe from GEN3 V8 as my CAI (attached to the CDA) and it sits level with the euro lip on my car. Facing straight down I have never had a water issue with it, and it's only 4" from the ground. I have had to kill the throttle over some big water traps though, just in case! though i'm sure a 4" induction is alitle over kill on a VR6.

i have a very similar thing in my R32, never had any issues. But the side where the filter is in my car is blocked off from the front with a grille, and bottom with that protective plastic.
I live in perth, and it rarely rains here, so its all good

Reckon it wouldn't have helped the last couple of days lol...
I had to navigate around 2 literal rivers last night leaving work. Blackburn Rd in Syndal had a poor Celica stuck in the middle of the road with water washing across the top of it's bonnet. I ducked down Coleman Parade to Springvale Road, only to find a similar river running across the bottom of the hill just after High St Road.

I think we've had a years worth of rain in 2 days here!!
