    Bumper differance

Is there any differance between the front bumper of a golf from the US compared to the AUS version?
I purchased a intercooler kit from the US and bolts up fine the only problem is i cant get the bumper back on

I think there is a difference in the rebar, not sure about the actual bumper cover itself though?

I can "make it fit" but this would require some hardcore hack hack
the core i can move around to get it to clear, its the pipes that come round to the end tanks that are the issue they touch ware the small covers go on either side so im thinking if i cut this to clear then the covers wont go back on and you will be able to see the pipes through the hole.

Yeah, the US bumper is slightly bigger, I found this out when looking at the "20th Anni" kit for my car. We need to specifically get the "25th Anni" (Europe) kit or the front valence won't fit our bumper. They look the same but they aren't the same size.

I gave up befor i got too carried away wit hacking the bumper beyond the point of no return....
Any idea if it will fit behind a r32 bumper as these seem not to have the seperate skirt arround the bottom and this is the main clearance issue with the stock bar.
I had a look at the bumper on aaeuro carparts website as they have this bumper
    for $500 + postage .
unless someone has a aftermarket bumper lying round they want to get rid of

It wouldnt matter what valance is on it as the ridge ware the valance locks into the bumper gets in the way (and theres only so much of that you can take off befor the vallance will fall)

But thsnks DUB20v let me know how you go...... just put the stock cooler back on for now untill i decide what to do.
