    Brakes on a Bora AWD

I am having troble when talking to suppliers when with my brakes. Most of do not have listings for the Bora and most VW's. Just to charify I can put Mk4 R32 brakes on the Bora AWD if they have a listing for that instead

The rear rotors are the same as on the Mk IV Golf R32 (256x22mm), but the fronts are different - 312x25mm front rotors for the Bora vs 334x32mm for the R32.

Bora V6 4Motion rotors are listed in DBA's catalog: http://www.dba.com.au/2006/PDF_CATAL...e_01102008.pdf

As per the rotors, rear pads are the same, but fronts are different. I (and GSLRallySport, check this thread) believe the appropriate front pads for an R32 to be these, which are different to the Bora ones.

For what it's worth, the Gen I Audi TT FWD has the same front brake setup as the Bora V6 4Motion, so you can search for that too. Try this link for instance to parts to suit (you may be able to extract part numbers from the links there).

Finally, it is possible to do an R32 brake conversion on the Bora V6 4Motion - the rears are a straight swap (they're the same, just the R32 calipers are painted blue), and the calipers/carriers and front rotors are a direct swap, though you need to go to 17" or 18" wheels to clear the front brakes (and only some 17"s will clear).

I spoke to SA Brake and Clutch today as it happens and got a price of about 150 each for std S3/TT discs and 450ish for a slotted pair. Both were on the shelf.

That's a good price on slotted rotors - DBA wanted around $289 each for slotted 4000 series 312x25mm rotors.

Yeah spoke to 'Truck and Car Brake Service' in wingfield, got a price on rotors $120each supplied and $100 for pads. Looking at getting slotted and drilled ones from the states. Just waiting for price for shipping

By the time you involve shipping costs, it won't be worth bringing them in from the US.

    I also wouldn't bother with cross-drilled rotors.

Would anybody know the OEM part number for the rotors on a Bora (312x25 fronts and normal rears)

8L0698301 for the fronts, 8L0698601 for the rear according to ECS (Mfg part numbers rather than their own).
