    Brake rotor thickness

What is the new and minimum rear rotor thickness for a 2001 Bora and are they the same rotors as the Golf?

    Thanks

Best to specify which Bora as there is quite a variance on the rotor sizes etc.

Sorry. I'm new to VW's and forgot about all the variations.
It a 2.0 petrol 1J2. Solid rotors on the rear. They don't seem to be marked with a minimum like I'm used to.

    cheers...doc

Hey mate they do actually say on the rotor- they do vary but it can be on the hub part or the outside diameter of the disc, i think you will find the min thickness is 7mm from memory . Factory is 9mm and you generally have 2mm between max and min.

Thanks Jimmy. I know DBA are not the preferred but just wanted to know the minimum and their website is a bit vague regarding some makes. I thought it was 7 but wanted to check in case they were under. They vary from 8 to 8.2 at the moment so all is good.

    thanks again...doc
