    Bora wheel fitment: 17x8.5 +15 and 17x9.5 +20?

Just looking at my option for wheels and saw the Axis Klassics. The offset seems really crazy so not sure what sort of guard work/camber/tyres would be needed to make them fit in a 4mo Bora.

    Wheels: Axis Klassic
    -Fronts 17x8.5 +15
    -Rears 17x9.5 +20

Just wanted to know if it's possible to even fit them or will they poke too much?

They will poke thats for sure. defiantly need stretch and a fair amount of lows. but you could make them work. do it!

Yeah I'm fine with stretching and lowering, but just worried about camber and guards... I'd rather not change the camber but I guess I'm prepared to roll the guards (not sure about pulling them out though).

I still haven't even got the car yet lol so can't really tell.. Thanks for the help =]

BTW what do you recommend for moar lows while keeping a streetable ride?

dont think you can do a whole heap camber wise up front on the mk4s anyway...
all depends on how low you are to what you can make fit.

Have to go coilovers or air ride if your thinking along the lines of wheels like that. look up H&R, KW, eibach and see what they offer

Thanks Dylan. I heard you have the TA Technix in yours and it looks very low. How's the comfort on the street?

Poke and stretch with those specs would be sweet. Also some camber on the rears would be pimpin . I run cheap hottuning coilovers and they are pretty firm, but not enough to bother me, and they go pretty low. Cost me 400 bucks shipped.

its ok... the normal "you pay for what you get" rule applies. Our roads are horried out my way, so im normally ok with it, but the gf hates it and i generally wont take work clients/family in the car if we are going for a fair drive. When im down burwood way in melbourne i find them ok. The drive up the Hume from melbourne to sydney was pretty good also. I'm not going to say there amazing, but im happy with the price I paid.

Thats 19x8.5 et35 all round, if that gives you any idea. Legal fitment almost at its best up front.
I lowered it some more after that and trashed in the inside of the tyres from rubbing.

So if you think you can pull off more stretch (say a 205/45/17 or 215/45/17 up front), more lows (I wasnt very low in these photos) and 20mm more poke up front daily and avoid the police, I say do it!

Height plays a big part on how the wheel will fit. my axis poked at stock height, lowered they sit inside the guards

I might go for the ST coilovers then. I found another set of rims I like in 18s as I reckon that's my ideal size for a Bora.

Miro STP-1s. 18x8.5 +30 and 18x10 +25. Will the rears clear the brakes? Looking at yours Dylan it looks like the fronts would be a perfect fit without guard work?

Only thing is they're sold out until end of June.. Also I'm picking up my Bora tonight (hopefully, as long as the dealer gets it right)! Too bad I don't get to drive it for a couple of weeks as I'm flying to the US tomorrow =/
