ok, now you have me massively confused. See, i haven't broken the tack-weld on the flapper valve arm, so i am assuming they have pulled the arm (closing the flapper) and thats where it is now. So the sound you hear there is flapper closed.
I think thats right because i can't tell any real difference in exhaust note over 2k or 3k revs, and am assuming thats where the flapper really sings. Either way i will break the weld and do another video to test.

As per the post you got the flapper pic from - if the rods against the stop at B then the flap is open.
If the rod is tacked in position A then the flap is closed.
