@Volksman apart from the ECU upgrade, the engine is stock as a rock yo.

@Gravey yes the RSB is adjustable Adrian, and is currently on its softest setting. I was worried it may be too soft and not compliment the other settings but it works well, very progressive. It's just so flat once the weight starts moving forward on turn-in.

Finally got around to giving Borat a proper clean inside and out after the recent dust storms.

Unfortunately Mickey is a bit late as I had a go at a proper detail myself from start to finish. As an unequivocal detailing n00b, I needed all the help and advice I could get so big thanks go to Greg at CarCare Products for his patience and advice. Many thanks Greg, your help was much appreciated!

So now with the dust all gone and the wind finally died down, and armed with CCA's excellent How To videos from their Detailing Vault, I started claying early this morning before moving on to the DAS6 Enthusiast Kit + Menzerna samplers.

It's still a little bit swirly for my liking, but I wanted to take it easy rather than be too heavy-handed with the polisher and compounds, and end up making a mistake I'm unable to correct. So while it's not perfect, I hope to become a bit better with a bit more practice. Who'd have thought it possible to get so much depth and shine out of 6 year old metallic paint?

Overall depth and gloss isn't too bad

    Bonnet

    C Pillar

    Bootlid

Door handle (I think I need to get myself a Powerball-type polisher to be able to really get in behind there!)

To be honest, I'm most chuffed with the results on the tailgate, and finally banishing the cloudy de-badging marks I left behind (told you I was a n00b )

Looks clean as. Wicked reflections. I can't wait to get my hands on my DAS-6. Hopefully it should come next week. I'm too scared to experiment on my car first (even though the paint is far from perfect.) I going to have a play on my sisters celica first.

Probably about 4 hrs all up Dylan, as apart from making sure I was using the polisher and creams correctly, I don't have enough space to do it all indoors so needed to be imaginative to keep it out of the sun!

Nice one Paul, you'll be impressed with the results of this kit. But take a look at those videos as it explains things really well and turned out to not nearly as difficult as I thought to get some good results. Just be patient and methodical (and follow the instructions! )

Thanks Dave! Almost as good as yours

Wouldn't make any difference to me even if it was NRL season (not an NRL fan), nor was I planning on going to see the Roar miss all 20 of their shots on goal yet again tonight, either

I tell ya, the next time I see Sergio Van Dijk down at Southbank...
