Bora V6 4motion help!

My son is buying a V6 4motion next week, is this a common problem with these?

Out of all the threads and 4motions I've read about. This is the only one I've seen with this problem.

one thing you want to look out for is the rear diff... I got mine and soon realised the diff was in a bad way (there are a few threads on this forum about the diff and the haldex controller, have a search).

If you verify the car has been regularly serviced - should be good. I have had mine for 180,000kms and apart from suspension rubbers perishing, and the electric fan resistor issue, it has been fine. The Haldex needs the filter changed not just the fluid. The rear diff in Governor's case seems to be unusual - I will after ten years be changing the gearbox and diff oils soon but only because it is ten years' old. Only other issue was a window regulator. I am so fond of driving this car - it's like a velvet glove. I did do the Haldex controller upgrade about five years ago and that neutralised the handling significantly.

I hope to teach my son how to drive on it
