Hi guys, I have a Bora V5 here that was running fine but now will not start. The no starting problem started after the battery died, and apparently a jump start was tried before a new battery was put in. I was not there when a jump start was tried, so thinking maybe it was jump started with the leads on the wrong terminals?
Anyway, I have read the ECU with VAGCOM, no codes. No codes in Instruments either so I can rule out anything to do with the immobilizer (original key). I can hear the fuel pump when cranking, and after cranking for a while pulled the plugs which are wet from fuel. I have checked for spark, whilst I have spark on the first lead i tried, the others don't seem to spark at all. This is the model with the 1 single coil pack, if this failed would it kill 4 of the 5 outputs? Any other ideas?
Cheers
Not normally, if you have spark on one it must at least have a cough or 2?? Be aware not to scrimp on a cheap coil, have seen it where a crap coil will fire all plugs and blow the top off the inlet, seen it , been there and my apprentice at the time soiled his underwear
