100% agree with back door nannys...
However i believe the center plastic diffuser is also designed to help with airflow, but it cant be too drastic.
Obviously all will increase aerodynamics and reduce drag to a degree.

I removed all mine .
Get a filthy engine bay, other then that all is good
My front one broke off when I hit a few massive potholes at Lake Mungo - initially taped it back up for the journey back home (Nashua Gaff), but it didn't make it so I took the sides off and have been without it for at least three years now. Make sure you remove the side pieces as they have a habit of being blown against your wheels if the other pieces aren't there to support them.
There is a level of vulnerability, and as noted, the engine bay can get pretty dirty without the guards.
I replaced mine with a Panzer Plate and Full Metal Jacket setup.
Nothing to see here...
Interesting coincidence!
I just installed 2 Panzerplates on the weekend, one on our '04 4mo and one on our son's V5. We used the better side skirts, the plastic bits, on the V5, which had previously lost all its underbody bits anyway. I am now thinking of how or where to get two new or used ones for the 4mo, since the roads round here are crap and even the highways throw up plenty of stones. The full metal jacket is an option, but it may be pretty noisy on a full gravel road! As will the Panzerplate alone, I think.
I feel that leaving all those pipes and things with no protection is not a good option, not in the country anyway. But I have no horror stories to offer to support this view.
Any ideas on where to get new or used side skirts?
