Bora/MK5 GTi wheel size and offset questions?

Hey guys, new here, been into the VW's for a while, had a few oldies over the last few years, 59 beetle, 55 beetle, 62 KG, but I've gone back to my 1st true love with older cars and I'm back into the early RX Mazda's again.

I am however still very much into VW's, but moreso the water pumpers and have loved the Euro scene ever since living in London and getting right into it. Anyway I'm looking to buy either a V5 Bora or MK4 GTi early next year as my daily transport and just wanted to know if the Bora's/MK4 GTi's share the same wheel stud pattern and offsets as the current MK5 GTI's? The reason being is that my Dad is currently overseas for 6 months and I'm using his MK5 GTi as my daily and if I plan to buy a Bora or GTi when I have to give his back then I'll be looking at some 18in or 19in Audi Rep rims for my car, but wouldn't mind buying them now and sticking them on his for a while, so will they be interchangeable? I have a look in mind and I think I'll end up with a Bora as it'll suit the style much better, but I also think the wheels will suit a current GTi aswell.

    Thanks
    Michael

Hmmmm, thanks, well I guess I'll just wait until I get my own, was kind of hoping to get the loaner tarted up for a while prior to getting my car, but it won't work.

Yeah it looks nice, I think a Bora is going to be more what I'm after, something a little more cruisy as opposed to hot hatch, but I'm not ruling out a GTi.....but I've still got 4 months of free MK5 GTi, so not really looking just yet.

If you go Bora, go for a V6 4Motion.

    The standard 16x6.5s on the V6 4Motion are 5x100 ET35, 57.1mm centre bore IIRC.
    Nothing to see here...

I can't really justify the extra purchase price for the 4 Motions but it will depend whats around for what price when I'm ready to buy, sub $15k would be nice, plus its purely a daily/cruiser, will do 6klms to and from work weekdays and some driving on weekends so don't really need an AWD V6. But the wheel info is great, do you have the same info for the V5, or is it the same specs?
