Bora ABS Sensor / Harness

Hello Everybody,

I've managed to rip of my ABS sensor plug on the harness side, front left on my 4motion Bora. Has anybody else repaired this?

I could only find the actual sensors for sale not the harness ( the loom that has the brake sensor and comes out from tub).

I got one off a wrecked 4motion (confirmed correct corner) to cut and solder on but the plug is different to the sensor! as far as I can see there is only one type of sensor for the entire Bora 4motion series? however my plug is entirely oval (__) where as other from wreck is oval with one side flat (__| .

My confusion is whether my current sensor is not average and I buy a new sensor to match the plug or try another loom of different wreck. Or if anyone knows that the abs were not consistent through entire fleet.

The original plugged that ripped off looked near impossible to connect back up (multiple people accessed)

They are off a multitude of vehicles. I bought 2 new ones of ebay for 12 pounds each, from the below list looks like they never changed for the 4motion throughout its manufacture and were used extensivley across vag vehicles

OEM Part for the rear sensor is 1J0927807D

Check ebay etc on the above p/n they are still around and have some good photos of the sensor and loom
A quick scan looks like they are getting hard to find now though so probably buy a spare . . . .

Thanks for the reply vwsport. My best bet is to find another wrecking 4motion then I guess. Tried every VW/euro wrecker i could find but no luck.

Anyone know of a 4mo Bora being wrecked!?

How damaged is the wiring and plug?

If it's just the outer 'shell' of the plug that's damaged, you can buy that on it's own using the part number on it, and re-pin it with the existing wiring, grommets, and secondary wire lock.
