    Bora 4mo Boot stuck

    Hey guys

I have a 2001 Bora 4mo, a couple of weeks ago the boot stopped opening. I can't open it with a key, the central locking still works fine, and I can't see anything in the boot that would stop it from opening.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be.

    cheers Steve

you say the central locking works fine so does the boot open after youve double clicked the fob?or does it not open at all? It sounds like the lock mechanism has seized through underuse as I know they are prone for it.When I put my old bora in for a service my friend who was the vagtech assigned gave the car a thorough look over as I had not long bought it and the rear handles and rear locks had suffered from inadequate use(my car had been owned by a company rep.)and lack of white grease and he stripped them all and coated them up but he said that the rear locks on a lot of the nu-gen(at the time)cars were failing because people were relying solely on the key fob buttons
