OT: is it easy to respray the bottom part (black plastic) of the bumper on an MKIV? I reckon my silver one would look waaaaaay better with that done, and it's in no way ricey.
Also, does such a respray look crap after a week (chipped etc)?

Not hard at all, and it won't chip acrylic paints are rather flexible, if you want to spray it black its alot easier as you can just use rattle cans vs colour coded paint and spray guns. And most panel beaters will charge around 150-200 for a lip to be colour coded. If your using rattle cans you won't need to spend more than say $30-$35 as you'll need a can of plastic primer, black paint and clearcoat.
Clear the surface of the trim with turps or equivalent, then spray the primer, wait for that to dry (15 mins) the spray 3-4 light coats of black paint. Give that a good 2 hours to dry and cure then hit it again with 2 coats of clear.
Wait for the clear to dry (another 2 hours or so) polish and enjoy, there's nothing quite like having a nice glossy front lip which never ever ever ever ever needs bumper treatment again!

The kit i put on my car ended up costing like close to 3k landed, great kit minimal prep work everything lined up and came with mounting brackets etc. only problem was my front bar was designed for a badgeless grill so i had to get it customized for that, with that fitting and painting it ended up costing $1400, plus the $3000 or there abouts for the inital outlay for the kit, great kit though although having some thoughts about changing it
Only a couple of dodgy ones i'm afraid. These were taken after a 19 hour detailing session and it was pretty late at night.
I just got my new camera last weekend, so I'll be taking heaps this weekend.

The car's looking great mate. I bet your arms are sore after a 19 hour session.
Low and Fat are terms of endearment when applied to our Dubs.I personally like it, although it does make the car look a bit lower and fatter.

Fortunately I have a rotary polisher and bought a new random orbital (Meguiars G220) just prior, so it wasn't quite so bad hehe...
Got a bunch of stuff on it's way from USA and saving for some rims for when the tyres run out. Then i'll be happy... for a time lol
