    Blown CV Joints, right?

What would be the best course of action here?

Easy job, shafts dont share common oil with the gearbox so no mess. Just need correct torx/star bit.

    FYI
I replaced mine with a REPCO shaft, it was skinnier and weighted different to OEM. Now, obviously I have torque steer compared to the OEM one its 10 fold worse.

Payed half the price how ever I wish I didnt.

Are they making any noise? I'd just clean them off first, might just be a split boot. No point in blowing money or shafts just for the boots. I reckon I have replaced maybe 3 or 4 joints in 20 years of driving VWs. Replaced a dozen boots and no problems afterwards.

Sorry meant to say boots. There is a humming noise at low speeds, it presents itself while going straight and while turning. Could this be due to split boots?

i'd take them off & go to a CV specialist. They'll pack some grease in there, change the boots & put new ties on for not much money.
