    blocking off bov

OK so a mate said that gti's come with a bov stock, and that if you block off the bov and put a pod filter in you can make the car dose like a vl STOO STOO STOOO

anyways, i was just wondering if this would actually happen and what are the consequences

    gimP!

You would get lag when you change gear and the turbo would be put under more preasure causing it to have a shorter life .
Sounds like something you would do to a Lancer or comodore

playing with your diverter valve or BOV would probably cause complications with the ECU reading air/fuel mixes.

might be worthwhile talking to a specialist before you do anything

Expect it to throw check engine light (or CEL) often as the MAP sensor isn't getting the atmo pressure it expects.
If you really want to go that way, GFP make adjustable BOV's (one manual and one electronic) that allow you to alter the recirculation and atmo venting ratio.
