Thread: Best wheel alignment in Melbourne

  1. #1

    Hi guys,

I'm just wondering what experiences you have had with wheel alignments.
Where the best places are to have a wheel alignment in Melbourne and what stores to stay away from? (Costs will also be helpful)

Just a quick question, are all front wheel drive Mk4 golfs only front wheel adjustable? Meaning only a two wheel alignment needed?

    Thanks

Front has toe adjustment and the slightest amount of camber adjustment (say like .05 deg).

Rear has some give with the bolts - can be used to equal toe a bit or move the beam left/right. You cannot change rear toe individually. Cannot change rear camber. (refer to camber shims, can be used to fix toe upon lowering an MK4)

    Some good info:

If you are not having excessive toe or camber wear on the rear I wouldnt bother touching it.

front is next to no camber adjustment. just toe to correct really

Given the lack of adjustment on these cars a specialist is not really warranted.
Unless you are seriously low or have some specific settings in mind, Kmart is pretty cheap.
    MK4 GTI - Sold
    MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
    MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.
