Cool Best tune/mods for an AGU 1.8T?

I actually drive an Audi a3 but considering it shares the same 1.8T engine as the mk4 GTI, thought it wouldn't hurt to post here as well as the fact it would get a lot more attention/traffic. I'm located in Melbourne and am curious about the different tunes out there (APR, revo etc) and are keen to hear people's opinions... Price is the biggest limiting factor here just so everyone is aware. Also interested in exhaust options as well as what the ramifications of things such as a cold air intake, RV dump valve etc can offer.

    Thanks in advance, elton

The is so much info about ALL of the above questions on this forum... Please do a search utilising the 'Search' bar in the upper right corner...

must admit i did give it a go but the search does not really help - i'll try an 'advanced search' to try and get rid of all the polo, mk5/6 stuff thats out there... it even popped up with stuff about a tiguan when searching for 'ECU mk4 gti' how? i do not know..

There isn't to much you can do performance wise to the agu due to the ecu limitations, best option is stage 1 which are around $1000+ and most need to chip your ecu apart from revo. Cheapest tuner is bsr who charge like $800 I think, there all have similar figures just deliver power differently

Custom-Code (which is me) can bench flash the ECU from a MK4/A3 and it is well under a grand too!

Hey dude, I've put a custom made 2 3/4" catback with a resonator and a hi-flo twip tip
Muffler, sounds pretty damn good, with plenty of flow, also made my self up a 3" alloy intake pipe and pod which sounds alright too, even if theres no performance gain
I've also fitted a turbo smart BOV which hasn't messed with the system After chip next
Biggest performance you'd get is with a t good set of tyres and coilovers IMO has transformed

Coils are my next purchase, or exhaust. Picked up a set of less than average wheels but they came with fresh tyres and for the price i couldn't say no. Will be starting a thread soon enough. Think the first thing I'm going to do is chip it (yet to decide who with/which chip etc etc) general feedback i've got is that they're all pretty similar. Also need to (prior to chipping/at the same time) get my clutch done - would this be a good time to change to a heavy duty/sports/racing clutch if i intend on making my car any more powerful than stock?
    thanks
