    Best OBD2 scanner

Any recommendations on a good scanner around $100ish dollars doo's?

Prefer non Bluetooth as.ive bought one in the past (u-scan) and could never get it to work properly.

Preferably be able to purchase for fast delivery off Amazon.

What do you want it to do The ODBEleven is a very good VAG scanner and bluetooth works well with it.
However it may not work fully with older models

+1 for Carsita - i really like it and it works well. But ive never used it in anything older than a Mk5 generation Golf so im not sure if it works on a Mk4.

Carista doesn't look like it supports MK4. Supercheap sells a Bosch for $249 and Kogan sells a self brander one for $70 on special. Also found this:

Volkswagen Car Diagnostic OBD Scanner Fault Code Reader – Souped.com.au - Car and Motorcycle Performance

    Bluedriver also seems highly recommended.

The issue is finding something compatible with a MK4.

I was going to chime in and say that back when I had a Mk3 I started with an cheap eBay cable for about $10 running an old version of VCDS which only allowed reading one module at a time. Given how basic the Mk3 and even Mk4 are, these cables are perfect since you really don't need to do too much. The real bonus being that VCDS knows what the codes mean where the generic ones may not... again it shouldn't matter too much with the older cars and their relatively low tech ECUs.

That handheld you've grabbed will be handy since it will work happily on other non VAG cars should you ever need it while also doing what you want.

I have the one in the link to souped.com.au

It doesn't reset the fault code after disconnecting the air bag

It does read and reset errors on wife's 2015 Fiat 500X
