A mate of mine in Vancouver BC had the evolution one and liked it. Don't remember if he had to order another/fabricate another support bar and what he used to attach it. You can get the oil filter cut out on the DG one for free if you ask them. With he VR6, I found it easier to take it off. Unscrew the riv nuts and it's off and back on in 5min total. It weighs less than 5kg.

Unfortunately a road sign won't cut it, not thick or strong enough, but looks cool.

Maybe 2 road signs together? Surely they're not all the same? There'd have to be some really thick f#@kers out there, no?!..

Anything would protect more than the air surrounding mine at the moment...

I had to bash some pretty big 'dents' outta mine and it had some nasty gashes, but I slept well.

Depends what your trying to protect it from I guess.
Sign/sheet of metal would be great for stones and debris.

but not much is going to protect it if the car is actually been supported in the middle of the plate when it gets beached on something.

I might do the road sign one, just to protect the bay from getting filled with so much rubbish. The plastic ones get ripped off at the thought of touching the ground

hate to be the hater...i dont recommend sporting a road sign. Whilst it has the "lol effect", you'll likely find yourself charged if you ever get a roadside vehicle inspection.
