I'm interested too, have replaced nearly all front suspension bits except LCA front bushes, tie rod ends and ball joints....
Hello,
Wondering if anybody knows where I should be sourcing a new ball joint from?
Car hit a bit of not-so-visible concrete in a car park, and now the passenger side's creaking heaps when pulling out, or push down on it; so am figuring the ball joint is screwed.
Pedders reckon it's a $110 part for either side! and they "only use german parts on german cars"

Either look to one of the people on here that have a workshop (Golf Loon or MKVGTI) or there are some Euro parts importers such as Tooley Imports or Eurospares that would be cheaper than Pedders Prices.
Check ECS Tuning. I'm sure their ball joints are cheaper than what you've been quoted thus far...
Nothing to see here...

I will add, that if you don't support Aussie's that stock this stuff, you won't have it imported anymore for the times that it is urgent. /soapbox
When I see justification for 4x the price locally compared to overseas, I'll pay that...

$40 USD for both from MJM Autohaus. Pedders should be ashamed of 'emselves. What happened to business ethics?
I can't afford to be blowing money. Am an engineering uni student. When it comes to saving the world, we leave that for the arts students and normal people
as far as local suppliers go too... i've tried supercheap, repco, wholesale suspension, bursons, etc. etc. etc.
Pedders are the only ones with ball joints "in their warehouse"... they don't know what brand they are; just that they're german, because only german parts can go on german cars.... they haven't heard of whiteline... or their own branded ****.
See my post above for 2 suppliers in Australia that won't be as useless as *enter your bunnings style motor parts supplier here*.
I managed to get MK1 ball joints same day from Tooleys - so I am assuming that it is not impossible for them to have a later model one.
