AVU 1.6Lt engine

Hi everyone..

Im working on turboing my 1.6lt golf and im just seeing if anyone knows much about my type of engine.. Doesnt seem to be many AVU's around.. Plus i need a spare exhaust manifold for the performance place needs a manifold to modify... I know everyone is going to say just buy a gti but i want to ve different lol..

I like a challenge and doin something different is always good to see but honest opinion from me would be sell golf invest in Gti and spend a little on that. the head ache involved in modifying avu motor would be massive from harness to ecu to piping man that's a huge job!!! I work at clark rubber so piping and hoses are no trouble at all.. The only thing is trying to find a piggy back ecu to tune the car.. And there isnt alot of room in the engine bay either lol..

I will be posting pics soon.. once i figure out how to do it from an iphone lol

Ive already upgraded the brakes. Ive got dba slotted rotors on the front and getting read slotted rotors soon.. 2 1/2 inch cat back exhaust is on as well (sounds awesome if i do say so myself)

Now... I need some advice.. Should I use a t3 turbo or a K07??

Also looking for an intercooler.. Should I use one off a gti or buy a new one? Any thoughts or input would be great
