    Average K's per tank?

Am just curious with the driving habits of Mk4 GTI owners.

How many K's per tank do you think you average? (assuming you take note at some point in time)

I do about 500 on mine using 98RON.

Generally get around 500km before the fuel warning light comes on.
I then fill up straight away; I don't believe it is a good practice to try and "empty" the tank completley.
I am averaging 9.2L/100km on the Trip Computer (2).

I usually get about 400k's on it, but my car is chipped and i do occasionally enjoy hammering it...but what should be norm? or considered to be normal.

But say if your using alot more fuel than you should and you drive it in a decent way what could be the problem???

i average at about 7.5 on the trip meter...
my gti is stock, and i do about 70kms a day, about 45 of that is highway > 80km/h

tank tends to last towards 650 - 700 before the light comes on... dependign on what petrol i'm using and how fast i feel like accelerating.

I guess it must be the highway driving, in the opposite direction to peak hour traffic, and with minimal stopping, pretty much at constant speed. When I’m on the highways my trip meter tells me < 5.5 l/100km at most times, unless I’m overtaking or something…

Before I hit the highways it will normally be around 9 l/100km
