I'm planning a fluid and filter change on my 2.0 litre 2001 bora auto. I'm aware of the temperature check and can do that with an aftermarket cable I've got but I need a few questions answered please.
1. What temperature should the trans be when checking the level?
2. Should the engine be running when waiting for the overflow out of the drain plug?
I checked the level today and it was draining out but that was without the car running. Very dark and smelt burnt. 103,000 ks.
