The tab is made of die cast. The same thing used to make model cars.

If you look around on the floor you may find the little bit of crappy metal.

I wasn't aware that my passenger seat had height adjustment - you learn something new every day!

Any idea of how the mechanism works (I'm curious now as to whether I should organise to have a tab welded back onto the seat...)

I have OEM Recaros, they are not exempt from this problem !

You take them out i did this to my 4WD and i found almost $20 in change
