    Anyone know what this is?

Girlfriend pulled it from under the passenger seat when trying to move the seat back. She said it was hooked onto something.. Actually have no clue where it came from lol.. Might be nothing but thought I'd ask.

    Any ideas?

    Standard mk4 item.
    Spring from under the seat.
It assists in lifting it from memory

I'm guessing its from the passenger side, thats the one that poops the spring usually, you really don't need to worry. its generally useless. It just aids seat height adjustment i think.
But if you are like me, i would put it back in & the easiest way is to pull the seat out and flip it over so you can see what you are doing.

On the passenger side i think its location is underneath the seat on the left hand side.

chime in anyone if i am wrong. hope it helps
