I don't think it'd be worth the money. Power gains would be minimal at best.

You could message H100VW on here - Gavin is straight up and will tell you whether you're wasting your money or not. He is an agent for Custom Code. (I think they flash the ECU)

    Cheers.

I have done a few 4 Motions as pointed out, they don't gain 50hp like a turbo car does. goodfella has his done if you want an opinion, he lives in 5 Dock.

Thanks for input guys, I'm aware that power gains aren't massive but have heard it would increase throttle response and smooth out power delivery. Also what I've heard is that some offer a launch control anyone heard of this??? keeps the rpm at around 4000 dump clutch and let it rip!!!!

if you're going to do the ecu flash with any kind of chip, I say drop $1,000 on a 264 or 268 grind cam and get the chip done on the top of that. Or, if you really want to go hard, get a headjob from CNC UK + cam to match.

    Hey dyldo

What does the cam do to the character of the engine? More top end? Do you lose the mid range?

Different cam profiles will dop different things. Something to do with how long the cam lobe allows the valves to stay open for etc (duration). From what i can gather, 268 degrees or even 272 degrees cams give more to the engine in terms of top-end.

IMHO our engines are always begging for a supercharger to help low-end and response. Then the battle becomes do you go compressor or roots-type (roots-type are your classic chargers seen on V8s etc and are true mechanical, whereas the vortech chargers do still rely on compression to build.

either way, staying naturally aspirated would mimic the engine stock, but you could tease a touch over 200hp at the wheels out of a good tune, cai, exhaust and cams and headwork. Maybe a lot more if trusted headwork was done for flow.
