Aircon Revs?

Hey ,
Probs a stupid question but when i put the aircon on in my car (in idol) the revs drop from 800 to about 600-650.
With our mk3 the revs increse and so dose the Mk5.

Just wanting to know if this is normal or something is stuffed..

Hi Steve, mine does the same thing. It's a pretty standard thing with the Mk4's. Nothing to loose sleep over.

Thanks its just every car the revs increase and when our Mk3 was playing up the revs dropped dramatically thats why i thought there might be somethign wrong with it. But now i no there isnt

The revs in my MK4 increase when the AC is on.
