    Advice on 5x112 - 5x100 adaptors

Hey guys I've got a set of 19x8 wheels that are 5x112 and I'm looking for adaptors to 5x100 for the bora.

The wheels have a ET of 45 and I need advice from people with experience on how big i should go with the adaptors? 5mm? 10mm?

    Thanks in advance guys

    Cheers,
    Will

    Hi Will.
You wont have much luck with finding 5 and 10mm adapters. 15mm is the smallest readily getting around.
is the car standard, lowered springs or coilovers? < this makes a big difference

Check out the wheel thread in my signature or stickied at the top of the mk4 section to give you a guide of what final offsets you should be aiming for

I have 30mm adapters on my mk4. The wheels are 17x7.5 et44 and they are still far inside the guards and nowhere near the coilovers.
The et of the wheels in this picture are rear 44 front 50 both with 30mm adapters.

Ahh fair enough, just never went adaptors with any previous cars so this is all new to me. Car is lowered on springs, unsure as to how low they actually are cause they were in the car when I got it from the dealer. I suspect the springs could be reset.

I'll check out the wheel thread thanks Dylan!

Probably just 30 or 50mm springs.
19x8et30 with either a 215/35 or 225/35 would be a good start up front. (15mm adapter)
And either the same on the back, or go a 20mm adapter for fwd, or 25mm adapter for a 4mo.

Just my suggestion anyway without seeing the car

yea i was thinking i might go a 225 to give me a bit better ride quality.

ahh you answered my question about the rear adapter for my 4mo

i'll get my hands on some adapters then do a test fit before making my final decision on tyre size. (just concerned with the stretched ride quality)
