    '99 Golf stereo problem

Can anyone help me out with the code for my radio? Had to change the battery recently and don't have the right code.

    It's a Eurovox 4681, serial 370001722.5

Eurovox tell me they want $22 for the code, which is more than the unit's worth, but then if it's serviceable it doesn't need to be landfill - can anyone help me out, or point me to a code calculator?

    Cheers,
    Alex

    Hi 4lex,

I think you're going to be out of pocket $22 bucks.

You can contacting FHRX Studios - http://www.fhrxstudios.com/

I'd rather not have the hassle of having to pull the damned thing out again tho, so if anyone had a code calculator i'd still appreciate the code

    Cheers,
    Alex

VW dealer should give it to you for free.
I got ripped off by Europox $20 and then found that dealers can help you for free.

this just happened to me lastweek!

just drop by your local VW dealer. they should have the details on the computer. my car was purchased in sydney, and the gold coast dealer was able to get it

I dont know if the VW's get anything like this but in my current car the code is the last four digits of the VIN.
I have my RED , 3DR MKV GTI with leather in manual and I love it!
