2003 V5 Bora rear valance question

Im looking at getting an aftermarket exhaust fitted to my bora but im unsure how to go about modifying the rear valance

i could get it cut, but im not sure how it will turn out. Another way would be to get a 4motion rear valance and get that fitted, but the cost is a bit off putting

wanted to know if anyone has cut there rear valance

    Any insight would be appreciated

I cut mine to install a towbar last weekend. I just used tinsnips after measuring and marking up carefully. No issues here.

you could just get a tip that curves down behind the valance like OEM - personally I prefer the clean rear of the V5, rather than having some chrome 'look at me' POC sticking out.

it wont be chrome and itll be twin tipped, so it wont look ridiculous.

whats the best way to cut it?

LOL - the V6 doesnt look horrible or anything, I just like the clean lines of the rear not being interrupted, it looks slicker....somewhat more stealth to me too

What looks good is all a matter of opinion though!

ill probably have it under the rear valance and if i dont like it ill get it tucked under with the tips bent down.

some people are telling me that 2.5" will be too big for the V5? whats the go?

am i better off getting 2 1/4" piping?
