Vw nationals is coming up so I thought I'd get my sh*t together. Polished intake with wrinkle coated runners.
Cleaning up the bay a little more, charcoal canister delete and windscreen washer resevoir hidden very sneaky. 😎
And new wheels! Should hopefully be on this weekend. Can't wait 😀

it needs the right Size tyres to fill the guards better.
Thanks Man its getting there
So after getting back from nationals I had a little surprised custom code phase 1 ecu sent to me by Gavin. A few people have asked what I think of it so I thought I'd do a little post about it.
First impressions;
Cold startup has changed ALOT. I had a problem where it would be a little rough for 20 seconds when cold. Completely gone. Exhaust note also became a little deeper.
First drive with the new lighter 17's and tune. Fun is an understatement! Instant change in the way the car drives, come on boost alot earlier, torque curve feels strong and doesn't drop off like before. Also before I noticed when driving spirited it would have a moment before back on full boost. Now it's instantly back to 16psi through gear changes. Torque steering around is also quite fun
After driving the car daily to work for the week to see what fuel is like. I've noticed on the highway I can get an extra 50-70kms out of a tank on average. All in I'm very happy with how it's transformed the car. I'll be getting a new exhaust and a few other bits and getting it tuned to phase 2!
And I've also got the enkeis fitted fitted!
That's all for now. Should have some more interesting updates in the near future.
Lucas.

If it's pulling the steering around, have you looked at the rear LCA bushes. The std Golf ones are pretty dire. If you need new ones, definitely get the S3/TT ones. They are solid and last much better. I replaced the ones in my S3 when I got it and they have done 80000 now and still look really good.

These are the ones, had poly in my A3 years ago and they squealed constantly. There's some more advanced thinking on them though now.

I have stage 2 Custom Code with just 3" downpipe no cat -> stock exhaust to the rear and just a pod filter and K03s and 4bar Fuel reg
I get 600-650km to the light comes on and I drive in peak hour every day for 30km each way.
I don't drive "slow" boosting a fair bit during my daily commute
The dash says 7.4l/100km which I think is pretty amazing
pulls hard and great drivability for a daily.
the difference isn't as noticeable as stock to stage 1 but definitely worth it!
look forward to seeing the rest of your build mate car is looking very refreshing with the Enkei's
