seems like everyone i see in a mk4 is either a young girl or a middle aged woman/man. here i am 6ft 7 and a hell of a beard rolling round in one haha

the paint looks really nice, especially after your detailing efforts.... or is it just the photo's ?
Paint is pretty good all round except rear bar under rub strips has some scuffs from a carpark i guess. and front grill. someone tried to use touch up paint that looked lime green
The color in general i think is really nice. nice dark green in the shade and in the sunlight the pearl really shows. yet to see another one in this color in the flesh..

apart from mk1's, mk4's are my favourite, can do so much with them its amazing..

good work on bringing it back from the dead!
But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."
I just reply, "your daughter, sir." - some dude on stanceworks

I had fixed half the broken crap but that just meant it was still halfway inoperable

Thanks always loved the mk4 shape, never thought id own one though

Here is today's efforts, GTI springs installed on the rear. minimal drop but a little less boat-like...

Heres what it was on 1.6 springs. about 700mm from ground to guard.

    GTI (top) vs stock (bottom)

    After: about 680mm.

Shocks are on their way out so expect coils or a shock+spring combo soon

Great work. It is good to see someone young is willing to put in the hard yards and get really nice results for your work. You get a much higher appreciation for your car by attempting things and stretching your knowledge.

Uuhhhh. maybe some mk4 experts can help me out, funny clicking type sound started on the passenger side only when not under load in gear in neutral it's silent. had a quick look at the drive shaft and the boots like fine but it has some play in it. full lock and low speed doesn't make clicking sounds like they usually do. any ideas?

That colour is amazing. I love the before-and-after car wash shots So did you fix the clutch, gearbox and headgasket, or was that done already when you bought the car? Would have been a shame if it was scrapped, good thing you rescued it
