    17x9.5 +40 HELP PLEASE!!

hey guys just purchased a set of IMPUL RS Hoshino Racing rims, they are 17x9.5 +40 all around.. now i know these wont fit without the help of spacers so im gonna purchase 20MM spacers, but im not 100% sure if the wheels will poke out too much from the guards.. if my calculations are correct they should be just flush with the guards! but just want some reinsurance thanks!

unless you are sacked good luck getting them flush on the front...
9.5et20 is fair old agressive up front too, ok on the back, but the front will be silly if not low enough.

    are these from ebay btw...?

just having coilovers doesnt mean anything, 95% of the mk4 drivers on coils here wouldnt be low enough to pull if off.
actually it is workable, but yeah, need proper lows needed.

Yeah, with some Poke, stretch, some rolling and getting the right (not close) spacers, you should.

could go back to a 15mm so 9.5et25... be VERY close to the strut tho (would come down to brand of struts, wheel bead width etc)

ive got tracer coilovers all round atm, when i try to put the wheel on without spacers it touches the strut (while sitting flat against the rotor) im sure it needs atleast 15MM spacer to clear the strut but im not 100% on it being flush with the guards, also will be getting new tyres soon 215/45/R17, what do you guys think ?

    you have 20mm spacers already?
just bolt it up and put a piece of wood under the wheel and let it off the jack, will show you how much room there is and how much poke it will have

nah i gotta order the spacers from ebay! sorry if i was being abit confusing! what i meant was when i tried to test fit the wheels without the spacers it would sit against flat on the rotors but it would touch the strut aswell

but also i wanna know what spacers to get before purchasing.. just incase i get 20MM all around and the fronts poke too much! im not too worried about the back but the front is where my main concern is
