AWD is actually an engine code for the 20v 1.8t. it's for the US market.

they go pretty well with a reflash. not mindwarp but they're pokey

Interesting - I'd seen quite a few codes, but not AWD. Always good to learn something new (and now wonder why they used AWD when surely they knew it might cause confusion ).

As a few have already stated, the reflash makes a significant change, and makes them much more like what they should have been out of the factory. Best bet for you would be to attend a get-together perhaps, and see if you can score a ride in one to get an idea for how fast they can be when modded.

Chip should see low 15s, add decent exhaust and you'll go under 15.

Personally my best is 15.01sec at 101mph.
I'm yet to run again with the exhaust, it did add 10kw on the dyno.
