Cool 1.8t r32 style exhaust systems

Hey guys as some of you know I have a 1.8t engine going into my golf and i have a genuine R32 rear bar and wanted to replicate the exhaust setup but as ive found out the genuine exhaust will not fit but there is some different designs put there during my research ive found milltek do one and some other custom work.

As both look good with bumper on, underneath you can see the problem with the milltek system is that the dummy pipe that goes around the spare wheel from the back of the muffler doesnt make a sound as such or improve flow.

The vortex link has different styles but the one in interested in getting custom made is on the black gti on the bottom of the page. I think this will have more of a flow from the engine rather than the milltek system.

    VWVortex.com - r32 exhaust on a 1.8t

Or Ive heard people making the genuine R32 exhaust fit by cuttinf out spare wheel?

Interested to hear your guys thoughts?

what about a simple T joint after the main muffler - go straight across the back and out?

Still want kind of an equal flow through both tips. One guy did that on the vortex link but looks like it wouldnt do much at all. Seen the one with the Y piece just before axle and one goes behind spare tyre and other straight through. One resonator and no muffler. Would that be too loud?

Honestly unless you do a true split system the left exhaust will always have more flow as the exhaust gases will always take the path of least resistance (shorter path). Do you lose the functionality of the rear tow hook with the duel exhausts? That would be a concern for me

Now ive seen a pic of one with two exhuast pipes running under the car and wondered if it was capable with a 4 cyl? Even with running your old ft lito? Not sure about the tow hook tbh
